I might be missing a few things… but thats the gist of it! I REALLY would like to go to this school, but I don’t know if I even have a chance… any help would be greatly appreciated!

have you been recruited by the coach? if so make sure he/she puts a recommendation in your file.

yeah are you applying as a recruited athlete? because based on what you are saying it sounds like you aren’t o.O

GPA is a little low, you have a lot of committment in sports which is great

Most recruited athletes do ED, so:

 1. Are you a recruited athlete, or will you be walking on
 2. Did you do ED?

You will definitely be accepted if you’re recruited (signed a NLI, discussed with coach and he’s recommending you to admissions) BUT since you say water polo club, I’m assuming you’re not recruited for a varsity sport (correct me if I’m wrong)

Without that, you still have a decent shot, but your GPA is a tad low. Make sure to demonstrate interest in the school, write great essays, and get a good teacher rec. Maybe consider ED2 if you didn’t do ED1, and if you can do so. It should help you out.

I am being recruited for Water polo, but I am a later recruit… I have yet to put in my application, but the coach will be “helping” with admissions for me…

I play for both varsity high school polo and club water polo…

I just wanted to know my chances with/without the college recruiting… I love the school.

numbers wise you’re below the mean and regular decision is really tough to predict but being really good at one thing trumps being in 10 clubs and not really having an active role in them. i’d think you’re in with the coaches rec but maybe try to take the sat one more time and boost that 540, although i don’t think it’s a dealbreaker since you aren’t applying to the engineering school.

Yeah as GWAlum07 said it might be a mediocre chance for you to get in if you’re not a recruited athlete because of your low GPA and average SAT scores. But you have amazing extra currics.
Since you are recruited, it’s probably like 90%< you’ll get in because you have the coach’s support. I’m not saying 100% likely because i don’t know if GW actually accepts 100% of the recruits that are supported by the coach. If it doesn’t, it’ll most likely be because the recruit wouldn’t be able to handle the work load here. But it looks like you can definitely handle it, so I say you’re 99.9% in. Just don’t do anything bad that will give them reason to rescind you haha.

Thanks, everyone!
