My Chances?

Hi.

Im in state and plan on going lib arts(goverment/polisci)

-3.2 gpa
-720 english 610 math(my old score was higher than my new sat scores so they are using the old one)
-i’ve taken mostly honors classes

-NJROTC Officer(I’ve been in for 4 years)
-National Chinese Honor Society
-Junior Achievement Officer
-TAFE(texas association of future educators)
-Chinese Youth Camp counselor
-orchestra freshman year
-freshman orientation camp leader
-60-80 recorded community service hours

i’ve also sent in a recommendation letter, a resume, and a special circumstances letter

p.s.

i was also varsity color guard(for NJROTC) and i volunteered during the summer at my local hospital.

rank is?..

the last time i checked was last semester and i was about 200/600…i should be higher now because of my 1st semester grades

You might be offered the CAP summer program…your rank is very low and that is the most important factor for in-state students.

yeah i wish i could take back 4 years of high school like a lot of us would. do you know how the special circumstances letter affects their decision? also is the CAP summer program just summer school at UT or the one year deal at one of the feeder schools(utsa, etc.)

any more inputs guys? all comments welcome. thanks for your help guys

I’m sorry…I meant to say just CAP…summer school option is an offer inbetween regular acceptance and CAP, which is 1 year at another UT branch.

The rank might be a little problem. I believe you may get automatic acceptance if you have a 1350 on your SAT.
