my chances

im really nervous

im an ED2 applicant

i cant explain my ecs or essays on here because obviously im biased towards them so ill just tell you my numbers and you can judge by those…not that its a good way to judge or anything…but im desperate lol

highest sat1/sat2
math-760
writing-750
verbal-620
math ic-730
bio-660

gpa
w-4.26
uw-3.8

quite honestly I guess I’ll give you my first reaction opinion but I think these are simple things that you can recognize.

It’s interesting that your writing and verbal have a big difference and that would be questionable (not in a bad way but generally raises the question of what kind of applicant you are)

Yes, I think the verbal is on the lower range of the spectrum but your writing does make up for it somewhat. Bio, I guess you took that as the 3rd test but considering the curve, I wouldn’t say it’s impressive.

Overall, I think that Tufts does place a certain significance on numbers but your stats don’t keep you out of the running in any way. I definitely think the essay and the ECs matter a ton and who knows the minds of ad-coms.

Finally, good luck and chill. It’s no use to be over nervous when you’ve done all that you can. You’ve basically done everything and now finding ways to present yourself as an admirable candidate. So it’s unfortunately out of your hands. Relax :)

thanks for the opinion!

i find verbal and writing to be 2 COMPLETELY different tests and dont even know how they can be compared as ALOT of people tend to do…i saw writing as testing your writing skills and use of proper grammer…while the verbal tested your interpretation and vocab skills

hmm true you do have a good point… I guess it’s just easier to group them together and have the maths/sciences together even though obviously math/science is completely different from each other.

just an observation that I saw was interesting :)

Seems like you have a good shot, morgan17.
