Essay
-Sophomore year personal project IB final, researched the effects of different energy bars which had their major calorie source from different groups (protein bars, fat based bars, carbohydrate bars) and tested their effects on blood sugar of athletes during sustained exercise (1 hour) and used these results to design my own energy bar that provided more consistent blood sugar over longer duration of exercise, wrote a business plan for my company and entered it in DECA business plan competition, state finalist for the plan

Wrote an essay about that experience and how it relates to my passion for food science

SLO and UC Davis look like good Match schools especially since you do not need financial aid. Best of luck.
