^Well, Northeastern isn’t as difficult to gain acceptance to compared to other schools, however I would definitely try to boost your SAT scores as much as possible. As long as your have solid rec’s and a good essay, along with better SAT scores, no worries.

Average UW GPA for those attending Northeastern is 3.52, with average SAT I scores of 596/615/635 (1846). It’s selectivity admissions rating from Princeton Review is 92 meaning not as difficult as Boston University (94), but more difficult than Rensselaer Polytechnic (91) or Penn State (90).

Based upon your normal stats you would not get in (slight reach to reach), but if you are African American then you are a URM (under-represented minority) and you probably will get in (then you are a “match”).

Please explain what category of “minority” you fall in–and we can advise you if it’s not African American.

P.S. Also tell us what you are looking for in a university and we can suggest other possible schools (you shouldn’t apply to just one school in any case unless you are positive you will get in and it’s your dream school).
