My chances?

My stats first-

Public school
GPA: 3.82ish?
Rank: 10.4% (our class has almost 400 people, I think)
SAT: 1920
SAT Math: 720
SAT Verbal: 570
SAT Writing: 640 (I got a 10/12 on the essay)
(Verbal is like my biggest weakness…)
ACT: 31
(English 34, Math 30, Reading 31, Science 30)

I’m taking SAT subject tests Math 2, Chemistry, and U.S. History next month.

Courses:
AP Composition 12
Anatomy & Physiology
AP U.S. History
AP Biology
Physics
AP Calc BC
Other APs:
Govt AP (junior year)
Activites/Experiences:
Youth in Government, 2 years
Keyclub (volunteer), 3 years
Youth Group bulletin editor, 3 years
Soccer, 2 years (I quit after I found out I had a heart defect)

I was captain of the soccer team my freshman year.
I went to Mexico on a missions/volunteer trip summer before my junior year.
I work as a hostess at a restaurant since January 2006.

I have more activites and stuff, but I heard you should only choose a few, like 4 or 5.

You and I are in a similar situation.

Your ECs are slightly better than mine.

We have to raise our SAT scores.

The heart defect might benefit you… it’ll show that you have perseverance and determination.

with a 1920 and outside 10% you won’t be able to get in. perhaps if you raised the sat to 2050+ and maintained the gpa while getting good recs and writing developed essays you will make nu a closer reach. good luck

I wouldnt even bother sending your sat scores unless they go way up. your act score is better, still try to get either of the test scores up. Also, you want to let the admissions people know who you are…include a lot of the major ec you were in. People get confused with that. You should ihnclude pretty much every thing you did but only highlight the major events of each ec.
