5’s in 5 APs and working on 3 more
national merit semifinalist (so far)
a few dean’s list/student of the month type things
marching/concert band for all 4 years, bass clarinet section leader in one of the top marching bands in socal </p>

<p>looks pretty dandy right?..here’s the problem</p>

<p>…pretty much no clubs and student body leadership because I never really cared to, aside from some minor CSF participation</p>

<p>i’ve done just a bit of volunteering locally, have a strong musical background, and some job experience (at a local tutoring place)…</p>

<p>so what are my chances at…
ucla
usc</p>

<p>…and why not…how about the ivies!!! along with anything else in the generic top 20 lists out of curiosity?</p>

<p>I would say go with U of Chicago. They like kids that are kind of introverted. I’m not trying to be insulting either. Thats just what I’ve heard</p>

<p>I go to his school, pretty sure this high school is one of the top in the nation. It got recognized by CB as having best Calculus program 2 years in a row…too bad my Calc sucks.</p>
