My Chances?

I’m Asian. I lived in Ohio freshman and sophomore year where I was #1. Then I moved to South Carolina before Junior year. Because of the differences in how GPA was calculated (South Carolina goes by percentages whilst Ohio goes by letter grade. So, I was obviously not motivated to get A+'s in all my classes in Ohio), my class rank is now number 7.

Standardized Tests:
SAT: 2390 (though with superscore I have a 2400)
Math I: 800
Math II: 800
Chemistry: Dunno yet
AP Stats: 5
AP Environmental Science, Calc AB, and US History: dunno yet
Taking 6 AP’s next year
GPA: 4.0 UW

ECs:
Key Club (VP)
NHS
Invisible Children
ASTRA (in Ohio)
Math Club (in Ohio
Science Club (in Ohio)
Youth In Government Club (Selected to the leadership position of Presider next year)
Selected to represent my school at the HOBY and Girls State Leadership programs.
Tennis

Community Involvement:
Regular volunteer at the local hospital
Regular volunteer at the local library
Nearly 150 hours last summer volunteering for United way and Phillis Wheatley providing school supplies for needy children
Involved in church youth group

Accomplishments:
will be National Merit Finalist
2007 & 2008 National Latin Exam Silver Medalist
Won a writing contest and published in a literary magazine as well
Piano for 10 years

Do colleges accept the Math I and Math II tests are two separate tests? I know it was kinda pointless to take both, but I’m curious.

What are my chances of getting in and getting merit scholarships in the following schools?
Duke
Emory
Vanderbilt
UNC
UVA
UPenn
WashU in St. Louis
University of Michigan
Harvard
Yale
MIT

Chance me and I’ll chance back if you provide a link :]

Hon-you are one of the most qualified candidates for college i’ve ever seen…

ALL of your schools are, in essence, crap shoots with really poor admit rates. However, I’d say your chances are far better than the 10% most kids have. I’d say you have like 30 to 50 percent chances.

At UVA, i’d be super surprised if you didn’t get in along with Vandy and UNC. Even UPenn and Emory seem to be more of "matches’ although not very low ones

I’d say shoot for the stars, but add in a couple of safeties
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/734752-different-kind-chance-help-me-decide.html

Thanks, and I’ll probably apply to University of South Carolina and maybe Case Western as safeties. But those are just the schools I’m particularly interested in, def NOT applying to all those :]

bummp…any more input?

Case Western is a great school, you should really apply there (I know you mentioned it on your post, but seriously - if you get accepted, GO! It’s amazing.)

You have kickass stats. And you’re in hellza clubs and possess a wealth ECs. :] And this is just a general question, is Vanderbilt U a good school? I got a pamphlet there after my PSAT results came in, and my mom said that since my score was “trash” (I got a 192), I get pamphlets from “trash” schools, meaning Vandey. Is that a good school? I have a feeling it is…
