My Chances?

GPA 3.93/4.00(unweighted)
4.5 something/5.0 (weighted)

2000 SAT Score.

Have taken AP world, AP US, BC Calc, AP CHem, AP Lang, and AP Stat

Also an intern at the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases at Ft. Detrick, MD for a full year ( i leave school early during the year to go there for 2 periods out of my 4 period day. Im only 1 of 2 kids from my school who got in)

Plan on applying to UMD, UMBC, VT, Emory, Villanova, Lafayette, Cornell (Longshot), UVA.

any thoughts on FA would help also.

THANKS!

I would retake the SAT to get around a 2100-2200. That’s my opinion, though.

Your internship looks great; however, only that for an EC is inadequate for most of those schools. Retake the SAT to a 2100+, join more clubs or sports, and you should be in for most of those schools (Cornell and UVA are definitely reaches).

Take the ACT as well.

I’d say you’re in everywhere but Emory, Cornell and UVA.

Woah, I used to live next to ft. Detrick…also do some work at volunteerfrederick

Good GPA, good courseload, good internship, decent SATs. Make sure you have leadership/deep involvement with EC’s, and if you want to get into Emory Cornell or UVA, you’ll need to get the SAT in the 2100-2200 range at least. Or take ACT and get around 32. All the others are matches though. Good luck to you.
