NROTC/AROTC Scholarship Candidate.

not enough info…
working with what i have…
Very low gpa and sat so I would apply early decision, but Rutgers might be a good idea

I am applying early action, not early decision, but I am also applying for Rutgers as well.

The thing is, with the NROTC and AROTC, I have to list 5 schools that I would want the scholarships awarded to, and then I have to apply to all five of them. So if I get the scholarship to a school I get into, and I like the school, then I accept my admission offer and the scholarship.

However, if I apply early decision to PSU, get in, but don’t get the scholarship there and it is offered at another school I get in to, then I am screwed royally, because I am stuck in a deal I can’t get out of.

Penn State is quasi-rolling admissions - there is no early decision or early action. Applying before the priority date enables your best chance for admission, but it’s not binding in any way.

Additionally - Early Decision schools are only binding if you can afford the school. If they offer you a financial aid package that you cannot afford they cannot make you attend.
