My college application plan

Hi, I’m bored and I wanted to start a discussion. What is your application process/plan.Also, where are you applying? For example:
Applying to Purdue,IU (matchiest of matches)
Butler, Saint Mary’s College (academic match, financial reach)
IUSB, IUPUI, Purdue Technology SB (Safties)
Major: engineering or astronomy

A couple weeks ago: start common app essay.
Whenever thats done: start supplemental essays and IU essay
August 1st:apply for Purdue and IU
Purdue is my first choice, and they have rolling admissions starting this year. Decisions will supposedly take about 8 weeks so I’ll get a decision in October. If I get accepted then I stop there. If not, then I’ll apply to Saint Mary’s and Butler.

Those should be in by November 1, so the decisions(+IU) will be released in December.

Hopefully I din’t get to this step but If my application is much worse than I thought, then I’ll apply to IUSB, IUPUI and Purdue SB.

So theres my plan. It’s a bit long and conplicated so sorry for that.

What are your application plans?

I already applied and got in to schools a few months back lol, but I can give you a whole schedule about what I went through haha.

June 2013: took Chem SAT 2
December 2013 (I think it was December…): took SAT.
May-June 2014: Started writing Common App essay in AP Language. Took Math 1 SAT II.
July-August 2014: Started researching some schools, doing some supplements.
September-November 2014: Worked on Apps, freaked my guidance counselor out because I told her I wanted to apply for GIT and the deadline was the next day for EA oops lol. Luckily got in. Also I did Math 2 SAT II.
December 2014: Deferred from MIT and Caltech.
March 2015: Rejecteted from MIT and Caltech :(((((
I forgot when RPI and RIT decisions came in but I got in to both lol.
April 2015: Either March or April, I was deferred from Carnegie Mellon and rejected from Stanford.
May 2015: This was tough because I was on a plane to Japan for a school band performance and literally my results were out of reach for 14 hours. Deferred UPenn, Rejected Princeton but ACCEPTED CORNELL. Was so happy haha.

I thought things were going bad, but I guess hard work does pay off in the end in ways you don’t expect. Good luck!
