My AP Lit teacher said it was beautiful and well written.
My mom said that she almost cried.

It’s 890 words long, but everybody tells me it’s a very easy to read piece.
I’ve been trying to shorten it, but since this is personal, its a bit hard. It’s readable in under 4 minutes, so I don’t think Adcoms would mind because its concise.

Anyone up to read and critique it?
I’d prefer non 09ers, but if you are, then I’d just want you to have a decent amount of posts :)

I am a 0’9er but I had taken a gap year. I am applying RD but most probably not to penn. I assume you are sending an ED application so it shouldn’t really matter. I would be glad to critique your essay.

I heard it was more than that, like each app at an Ivy gets approximately 30 minutes per person, per adcom (and usually one adcom re-reads each app twice).

Sent out, any more?

P.S. This is a personal essay, and I’m still trying to edit the conclusion to sound more fluid, but yeah.
P.S. I don’t mind critiquing anybody elses essays, so just send them my way.
