My cooking tip!

I have used the bread-in-the-mouth trick and it does work.

I guess the bread trick is a thing? http://■■■■■■■.com/zeykzd9

@Waiting2exhale , yes, I have done it and it does work

" ^Or if you aren’t using oil but need to measure out honey, molasses, or anything sticky, just spray the measuring cup with cooking spray "

That is one I wouldn’t have thought of , but will try the next time I make BBQ sauce !

@lje62 : If you want to hang out in Sonoma Valley with me, just let me know. I can watch you stomp grapes.

@ChoatieMom : Can I come over and eat at your house?

Many of you probably do this already, but I just discovered it:

I’ve started making a “vegetable medley” with dinner. I chop onion, potatoes, and pretty much anything else I have around – peppers, carrots, broccoli, zucchini, asparagus, and so on. In my cast iron fry pan, I get the pan really really hot and add no more than 1 TBSP of oil. Then I add the onions first, then the potatoes, then the other veggies in order of how long they take to cook. Add a bit of kosher salt, and there’s my veggie side to go with the meat of the day. Easy (except for the slicing) and healthy. (If you keep the oil to a minimum, that is, and with a cast iron skillet, you can.)

I think candle + onion may work. I had cold onions and was using a mandolin for the first slice, but needed them to be chopped finer.

I’ve been doing the oil before measuring anything sticky for years, and it works great.
