<p>Yes. I have experience with this. I have a close relative who was diagnosed with depression, anxiety and addiction. Dual diagnoses, as they call it. Often, as was the case with your D, the mental health issues precede the drug use.</p>
<p>I hope you found a good clinician, because our experience was that specialists in dual diagnoses are few and far between. My relative is, also doing better, but it is tough going. Her parents are always worried about a relapse and we worry, too.</p>
<p>Hang tight and keep doing what you are doing. You’re a good mom and you clearly love your D. That goes a long, long, way.</p>
