<p>My daughter has had an on and off very high fever for no apparent cause for the past few weeks. She has submitted most of her apps, but as with most students, she still has some essays here and there to complete. I know that colleges will not want to deal with medical excuses, but is there anything that can be done if my daughter becomes even more ill. Right now her fever is so bad that she may need to be hospitalized based on blood test results which are pending.</p>

<p>I think this is a dilemma for the college admissions office! Many check their emails once daily during holiday breaks. I’m sure they would be understanding, as this is a legitimate reason for a delayed application. Colleges often delay the review of applications when they are waiting for SAT scores and other info from applicants…this should be no different (at least in my opinion.)
