Well all you fellow Hoyas (hopeful, current, and at heart), I have finally made my decision of where I am going to be spending my next four years. As some of you may kow, I was deciding between Berkeley (in-state) and, of course, Georgetown.

Today, I decided to go to…

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

.

Georgetown University!

It looks like I’ll see the rest of you on the Hilltop this fall! ;)

Congrats! I have been following your posts and I felt that Georgetown was where you really wanted to go. Sometimes you have to go with your gut rather than logic!
Hope you love it!

Actually, I shouldn’t boo Berkeley. That’s where I would have gone if my dad had his way…and uh, if I had applied, and been accepted, of course.

Congrats calidan on your decision. Yeah, i’m not the same person as hoyadan. Its nice to know that there are other Northern California people in this forum who are going to go to Georgetown.

I heard there was some NorCal club, and if there is, I’m definitely joining it. ;)

Tlak- I looked at the academic calendar online, and for August 27th it says “arrival of new students.” Maybe when we get our new student information packets or whatever they are we’ll know for sure.

Congrats on your decision. I actually made the same one, except I’m from socal so Berkeley would have been farther from me. See you in a few months!

Congrats, Dan! I know you really wanted to go to Brown (along with a lot of us who were rejected), but as Brown says in their rejection letters, their loss is another institution’s gain. I know you will succeed at Georgetown. It’s an amazing campus and town.

Hey, Dan, I remember some thread where you said the move-in date was the 27th, and I said the 26th. I checked my Email for new Georgetown messages (and I forgot I set up a filter thingiemabob)…

Dan…yeah, unless I get into Yale, it’ll be Penn. You know, it’s going to sound funny (and I’m definitly NOT bragging), but I wish only one school would have accepted me. I wouldn’t have to rack my brain trying to choose between great schools. Anyone else feel that way?

I sort of feel the same way. I wish I had applied to fewer schools. I was accepted at 8, all of which I would love to attend, so it was really hard to decide. I think I made a good choice though.
