The Year of Glorious Clich

Sunriseeast-- Thank you for all that you have shared with us; your honesty and eloquence has inspired me throughout this year and I have kept you in my thoughts and in my heart. a blessing for you in 2012, and a (cyber) hug:

May you have -
Walls for the wind
And a roof for the rain,
And drinks bedside the fire
Laughter to cheer you
And those you love near you,
And all that your heart may desire
- Celtic Blessing

Sunriseeast,
You touch so many of us with your words and stories, your vivid pictures are so evocative. I too sometimes get scared and discouraged. When I was diagnosed with a idiopathic, progressive, terminal condition 11 years ago in my early 40s, they were talking about need for an immediate transplant. (I did not have one then and now they say I am functioning MUCH too well to even consider it.) Since then, way too many people with similiar conditions that I have come to know on-line and some in person have left this world and become angels at the rate of one every 4 minutes in the US. Each time one of them I have come to know dies, it saddens me and also makes me realize again how fortunate that I am that for reasons beyond my control, I have more time on this earth to help make our world a better place and be here for my kids and husband.

Partly as a defense, I have invested more energy in bonding with healthcare professionals, at least partly because they stay alive a lot longer! It is challenging when so many of our companions depart this Earth long before I am ready to say “goodbye” to them.

So glad you have a great cruise of the Bahamas with your husband and children. It’s good to live in the moment, to regroup and enjoy being surrounded by your loved ones as you gather your strength to continue to strengthen.

Take care & may 2012 bring improved health and inspiration to you and all of us!

Sunriseeast- Thinking of you with gratitude. Your words matter and you are appreciated. Thank you. Best to you and your family.

Sunrise, you are an inspiration to all of us. May 2012 bring you good health, prosperity, and happiness to you and your family.

Thank you for sharing.

I can’t find the words to describe what an impact you’ve made on me. I can only imagine how lucky the people are who know you in real life.

Here’s to 2012. Go get 'em, girl.

Thank you for sharing, Sunrise. I have learned so much from you. Happy New Year!!

May you be the inspiration for all the women who are suffering/being diagnosed with cancer. May you live to see your promises fulfilled and may you dance at your grandchildren’s weddings. And may you spit in the face of the pessimism and fear when it rears it’s ugly presence.

Wishing you a happy healthy remission full new year and years and years.
