Sunrise, all good wishes for comfort, patience and a smooth surgical recovery. Very glad for the remarkable care you have received, though sorry it was necessary.

Sending good wishes from south jersey.

Sending you best wishes, from the Midwest, for a speedy recovery from surgery.

How smart of you to head back to MSKCC instead of your local emergency room when you knew something was wrong.

sunrise, you and your family are in my thoughts. Speedy recovery to you.

Sunriseeast, I’m so sorry to hear about your recent setback. What a scary ordeal, but also a comfort to be in a place where you know you if there are these sort of complications you can be confident that you will receive the best of care. I hope that your recovery is speedy and that you feel better every day. Thinking of your H and hope his condition is improving, as well.

This is a much more difficult surgery to recovery from the original cancer surgery and I thought that was a biggie. Howeve, I am here. I am alive. I am grateful.

I think about all the people who don’t have the state of the art medical facilities and world renowned doctors near by that I have access to.

I feel fortunatel

Sending healing thoughts for you and your husband.

My first thought like all the others was to be grateful you were here and not in Asia. So sorry we were picturing you resting and comfortable in your home. How is your H doing?
I echo the not perfect patient part, you are most likely perfect without trying. I love what the ohave said, we are sending you collective healing energy!!!

Sunrise - sending healing thoughts and all best wishes from the southwest. I am sorry your path has taken this detour, but relieved that it happened here and not while traveling. I check on you every day and hope that you continue to gain strength as you heal. As for your courage and resolve - inspiring.

Well, that stinks, it is really lousy that you had to go through all that, but I am so glad you were able to get in right away, be seen by people who knew your case and have the cutting edge care you needed. Best wishes for the speediest possible recovery.

I am so grateful you are still here - with your biological family and with us - your extended family. Lots of love to you.

I’m sorry that everything took such a turn, as alot of people, I was imagining you back home when you didn’t post for a bit. I’m sorry too that Asia takes a back burner but it will wait. So thankful that everything was in place, that your symptoms directed those drs. to move quickly and that you are recovering. I hope you have a remarkably smooth recovery that gives the drs something to talk about. And a therapy dog that understands the need to keep appointments.

…and no roommate!

Sending prayers for healing your way and gratitude that you got the medical attention you needed.

Sending you good thoughts from California.

Something to Believe In. (check)

According to this formula you’re going to be around for a long time!!

Get Well Card- recover soon! Good luck with an uneventful and speedy healing from this.

I hope you have told your mom about the past year’s events. Perhaps she’ll make a trip to see you. On the other hand, I can imagine the extra work if she does show…

PS- I still remember over 30 years ago taking care of a previously healthy 20 something year old who had sepsis from a botched appendectomy elsewhere- he did not do well. Even those young and in great health before then can die from sepsis. Cancer patients- no wonder your doctors jumped so soon.
