<p>I was just reading over my (already submitted) Common App transfer essay for Emerson and I noticed I made a few minor grammar mistakes:</p>
<p>1.) I used it’s when I need to us its
2.) I wrote “Emerson has the excellent the writing program I am looking for” (2 the’s)
3.) One comma splice</p>
<p>Do you think that will have an impact on my admission? I have a pretty strong application (this is my second time applying to the school because I know it’s the perfect school for me, my activities rock, and my evaluations from my current school are all excellent) but I’m afraid that they’ll be put off because of grammar mistakes. I know it’s probably silly but I’ve heard those horror stories about colleges throwing out applications because of mistakes. I’m applying to their writing program, too!</p>
