My freshman keeps callling.....

nikrud: I know many like to keep details vague, but I have to ask, “Where are the goats?” What an incredible image.

To the OP I agree with everyone else: Nothing wrong there. If it’s fun for every one, it’s fun. I love getting this two minute phone calls and am thrilled kids want to share so much with me, from which Homer translation teacher wants to use (S) to which celebrity she saw on her campus (Milo Ventimiglia of Gilmore Girls and Heroes was most exciting to D). I’m with NYUMOM that for us it’s a real mother-daughter thing, but S is calling more than I thought he would.

I think the most treasured phone call I have ever received in my life was when D called to say, “I’m on college walk, and it’s so beautiful walking through a path with blooming cherry trees on each side of me. The only thing that cold make it more beautiful would be if you were here with me, I know how much you love nature. Well, you are here with me.” What can ever top that?

I, too, speak to my parents and both of my sisters 3-4 times/week each. Just quick calls to check in and keep up with each others lives. I think this is the reason my 3 boys are great at calling and emailing from their schools. It’s just a natural way of life for us.

We’ve already heard from all 3 today regarding football games.:)
