<p>I play tennis with several teachers as well. In fact, most people who play a sport at my school have played with teachers. I don’t see anything wrong with that. On the courts, they’re just people… I’m just playing tennis with an adult. My grades aren’t affected at all. It’s not sucking up, it’s called sharing a hobby.</p>
<p>I don’t see a problem with this. Now… if the kid is a horrible student and yet he’s getting awesome grades in his class to the point that he’s ruining the curve, then you might want to question it.</p>
<p>If not, then you shouldn’t need to care. My general rule of thumb, if he’s not ruining your life, why care.</p>
