My grandmother FOUNDED??? what the heck ..

<p>My grandmother founded the Melville Garden Society during the 1950s to promote what she saw as an underappreciated pastime.</p>

<p>Book says No Error but founded sounds extremely awkward. Wouldn’t it be ‘found’, not ‘founded’ ??? Or do they mean the same thing … ?</p>
