My job title is this " ", but it doesn't fully match duties. Updating Linkedin, etc

Hello,

I was hired as a summer intern for the finance department at a big xx company - my job title is a “Financial Analyst.” However, after working there for a little over a month now, I realized I’m not doing the duties as a F.A. My job duties mostly include tracking & monitoring budget spending, making company purchases (for various research projects), some journal entry, filing. With that said, i’m not doing the typical role of a F.A - analyzing, forecasting, etc. I want to update my Linkedin, resume etc, do I still put Financial Analyst as the title when updating these ? I’m worried that on my next interview someone will ask why was I a F.A if I did not do the duties of one…

I would put ‘Intern’. You can put down what you are actually doing under the ‘skills’ section.
