My legal TV watching (Court TV and others)

I’ve been obsessed with several Court TV trials lately, and while not exactly Binge watching, it’s just a lot of hours in a week.

There is a trial that’s been on and receiving a lot of coverage because it was also the subject of a Netflix documentary (Take Care of Maya), where Johns Hopkins All Childrens Hospital took legal custody of a child and accused her mother of Munchausen syndrome by proxy (child abuse) and the mother committed suicide. Family sued the hospital for kidnapping, abuse, and won $261M. In the post trial motions, the defense accused Juror #1 of misconduct, accused his WIFE (not a juror) of misconduct, and after plaintiffs answered, filed a second claim that the juror is…wait for it…a NAZI! I’m not kidding. A major law firm representing a major hospital played the Hitler card. The online legal community is going crazy.

Only in Florida.

Now do you want to talk about the dentist who hired his girlfriend to kill is ex-BIL because his mother wanted her grandchildren to move closer to her? Mother/grandmother arrested fleeing to Viet Nam.

Florida legal system never fails to entertain.
