i have a 1790 on my SAT1 780 in bio sat but 720 in math. my extra curriculars are horrible.the only good thing have is that i was in track and field for all 4years buttttt i didn’t win any medals or anything. G.P.A. is 3.52 and weighted is 3.77. Application essay was o.k. but it was not life-changing or memorable. I applied to all the uc’s except santa cruz and riverside and merced. do i even have a chance at the others??!!??

Okay, get over it. Dont tell us your life sucks;there are thousands of kids that would be thrilled to go to state schools that are not very noteable or even community college! No one wants to here you whine that your life sucks becuase you have a 3.5 unwieghted GPA. Grow up

Your title says that your life sucks, but your post just shows that you have a weak application. How does that show that your life sucks? If you have extrenuating family circumstances etc., then you should have mentioned it in your application.

So you applied to all except the least competitive UC’s? Great! Good job! Do you have any safeties?

If track is the best EC you have and you didn’t even receive any recognition for it, that doesn’t show that your life sucks, that shows that YOU suck.

How long did you spend on your essays? Even if you’re not a very good writer, you can still revise and let others edit until you have unique and relatively good application essays. If you didn’t think your essays were very good, then they probably weren’t.

You don’t have much of chance. I would reject you.

That’s like saying don’t leave leftovers because kids in Africa are starving.

i just wantedto know if there was a chance of be getting into the schools that i applied. and yes butterbattle i do have a weak application and should have had that as my title instead. I didn’t need ur insulting i just wanted ur opinion on whether or not i could get into those other uc’s i applied as a bio major and have san jose state as my back up.

seriously, you didn’t apply to the only schools that would probably accept you

not very smart, you are.

oh, and CSU is a very good state-system college. its not the end of the world.

Alright, OP, here’s my assessment.

The ones you applied to are not pushovers. You are screwed for the most part. UCLA? Berkeley? Forget it. You have almost no chance.

IB or AP?

Your SAT I and G.P.A. are okay for some of your choices. Low for others. An unweighted G.P.A. of 3.52 and a weighted G.P.A. of 3.77 shows that you didn’t take the hardest possible courseload while still losing grades.

Then, if you combine the above with the fact that you only have one significant EC in your entire time in high school and your comment on your essays, it shows that you really didn’t do much at all.

SAT II is fine. Maybe your Biology SAT will save you. :)
