My List ---accurate?

<p>I will be applying to these schools to attend in 2008.</p>

<p>GPA: 3.5 UW 3.8 W
SAT: 1200 (will retake hopefully 1250)
ACT: 24 (will retake, hopefully 26+)
AP: Will have taken 8 AP’s by time of graduation.

Great Essays</p>

<p>Penn State (first choice)
U of Michigan
U of Maryland
U of Florida
U of Miami
SUNY Buffalo
Indiana U
Boston U
Lehigh</p>

<p>I think I should be able to get into all of them decently except Lehigh and Mich might be reaches. Am I correct or what do you guys think?</p>

<p>Are you in state or out of state for PSU? Admission for PSU this year was very selective due to over enrollment last year. I had a friend (3.5 UW and ~1250 SAT) who got rejected.</p>

<p>Out of state, from what I’ve heard it doesn’t matter because its not a state university that needs a quota from the state.</p>

<p>You’re in at all those schools on the account of that you’re a met fan. Just put that on your applications and you will be accepted.</p>

You should get into Penn State why have so many other schools out there?</p>

<p>Heres what I reccommend:</p>

<p>Reach:
-Pick between Mich or Lehigh</p>

<p>Match: pick 4 including Penn State

  • Penn State
  • Maryland
  • Florida
  • Boston
  • Miami</p>

<p>Safety: you dont really need them but if u really like them pick one. My opinion is Indiana, but again You really dont need them as you shoudl get into ur matches.

<p>6 schools in total sounds a lot more reasonable than 9… trust me I applied to 9 schools got into 8 and felt that it was way too stressfull applying to so many.</p>

<p>UMich out of state is going to be a big reach for you. And BU is probably a little reachy too.</p>

<p>if penn state is really your first choice, i wouldn’t worry about applying to so many schools. you’ll get in.</p>

<p>BU a reach? u gotta be kidding…
The only reaches there are Mich or Lehigh… and Lehigh is a low reach for that matter. </p>

<p>BU is the same in admissions when it comes to UMD, UF, UM, and PSU… there may be a slight difference at each but they are relatively the same in difficulty.</p>

<p>I don’t know if your u/w gpa will be enough for Univ of Florida if you’re oos. Florida is very selective, and if you’re oos, it’ll be even more selective.
Maryland and PennState, you’re definitely in.</p>
