My MIT Interview

I think it went pretty well!

My interviewer went to MIT for grad school, but he said he knew a lot about the undergrad conditions there since he worked with them for his research thesis. He talked very enthusiastically about MIT and how its students were of a more analytical aspect than those from other schools of similar caliber, i.e. HYPS. We went through a lot of subjects, from class to ECs to research. The interview went for about 1 and half hours before he had to pick up his kids at a soccer game, so that was a good sign.

Remember for your interviews: stay calm and be yourself! You’ve obviously prepared yourself well for the past 3 years of high school to consider applying to MIT. Always be polite, don’t try to impress them, and just stay coolheaded through the whole thing. Trust me, you’ll survive it!
