I am interested to study in the US (Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Stanford) as international student. Naturally I have enough ECs, good school reports and participations in summer programmes/academies etc., but these things aren’t the case now.

I am the CEO of a little joint-stock company with approximately 15 fellow students as well as a bookkeeper. Yeah, you are right, it is a student-company, but we just differ from “normal” companies in that we are younger. We operate regionally and in the whole country - Germany -, we have even received an award for our success. One of our clients is for example a ministry.

Do you think it could boost my application next year? Btw, I am studying economics and business management beside school, which majors I would like continue in the US.

hey buddy, since im german and intend to apply this fall for admission (i guess that’S what you’re gonna do as well), i was wondering if you’d mind to post/send me your stats etc cuz i’m really interested in other germans applying there (getting to know the standards for germans like us^^)

Hey
I am the founder of a technological institute. We have not currently doing anything(I have my CIE exams coming) but after that, we are planning to build a wind turbine and after that, a robot.
We earn by teaching groups of A-level students.
Do you think this would stand out?

These threads make me laugh. OF COURSE, any accomplishments/extracurriculars/employment will help your application stand out! If they didn’t, why would we fill out ruddy applications?

no being the head of a company will HURT your application…seriously and your applying to Harvard? haha use a little common sense i think this thread is unnecessary and just another way to boast. yes, an a c c o m p l i s h m e n t will HELP your application…wow.
