My parents are Indian. How do I fill out the FAFSA [student who is US citizen, parents, and parental finances are outside the US]

I am a US citizen raised in India. My parents are Indian. How do I fill out my FAFSA?
I am completely new to the process, so would like a complete walkthrough

Do you mean to say you, your parents, and all of their income and assets are currently outside the US?

Yep

@kelsmom can give the real answer…but your parents need to report their income on the FAFSA form regardless of where it was earned or their citizenship, I believe.

You are required to report your parents’ income. Since all students are now required to transfer their U.S. tax information directly from the IRS to the FAFSA, your experience completing the FAFSA will be different from that of a student whose parents earn income in the U.S. Your parent will be a Contributor, and because they aren’t citizens (I’m assuming … correct me if I’m wrong), they will need to follow special instructions - here are the instructions for the current year form:

https://studentaid.gov/announcements-events/fafsa-support/contributor-social-security-number

The following two paragraphs describe what they must do when completing the FAFSA.

NOTE: Even if contributors don’t have an SSN, didn’t file taxes, or filed taxes outside of the U.S., they will still need to provide consent and approval.

IMPORTANT: If a required contributor doesn’t provide consent and approval to have their federal tax information transferred into the FAFSA form, you (the student) will not be eligible for federal student aid—even if the contributor manually enters tax information into the FAFSA form.

After following these instructions, they will be prompted to enter income information manually. They will be asked if they earned income in a foreign country, and there will be instructions for how to report that income information manually on the form.
