<p>I am planning to apply to
- Stanford
- Yale
- University Of Michigan
and afew other universities which do not require recom letter.
However , my first choice is Stanford.
My biggest problem now is that I have done loads of things in my high school years, but my school is a chinese private school and none of my teachers know how to write a recom letter, and weirdly, they seem to don’t give a damn although I stressed about the importance of the letters.
Until now, the recom letters I have receive are each only like a paragraph long and very lousy…
I had won numerous competitions both state and national levels, best speaker of most of the state level and interschool debates I took part in ( both English and Chinese), founded 2 clubs, raised funds in school ,president of school choir since grade 8 , received the ‘honoured student’ and ‘best academic performance’ award, volunteered in many talks as event co-ordinator,organised trips to orphanages and animal shelters…etc
are my EC’s enough to cover my weak recom letters?</p>
