My Rice Box

Well, I have an idea for the box on my application, but I wanted to get some opinions, as I don’t know what is considered a strong idea.
I volunteer at a Raptor Center (with owls!) and I was thinking I could take a picture of myself holding one of the owls and use that for my box. (not just because its an owl, I am pretty passionate about what I do there)
Is that a good idea? Or is it weird to have a picture of yourself?
Also, I was thinking of talking about the raptor center experience in one of my essays, so is that too much emphasis on one thing?

Thanks!

I personally think it’d be cool if wrote about your work with the raptor center and then had a picture. It’s all about what you are passionate about and if you are, go for it.

by the way…what’s the rice box? for one of my posts…someone mentioned that but I vaguely understood it lol.

It’s a box at the end of the application where you may put anything you want in it. It’s generally something quirky, funny, or something you are passionate about. I put a picture of my favorite runner and a quote by him. Not terribly exciting but w/e.
