<p>I have been living in the dorms since late august and very frankly I’m on my last nerve when it comes to living with my roommate and his constant entourage of foul mouthed high school buddies. I moved out of state to attend college and as such I know absolutely no one. I’ll admit I’m not the most social person, but I am always pleasant and try my best to be kind and courteous. However, walking into my dorm room after a long day of classes and finding on average 4 or more guys in my room loudly swearing at the television which is always set to ESPN, making me want to kick them out of my room and lock the door. When they aren’t yelling at sports on TV they are yelling at the video games they play. He constantly leaves the door to our room open inviting anyone in even when I am obviously trying to work. Whenever I try to close it within 5 minutes its open again. I am the kind of person who enjoys silence and reading which I am rarely able to do in my room anymore. Finally, it seems that every weekend he will come back to the dorm well passed midnight, drunk, with his posse in tow, and will proceed to loudly play more video games while I try in vein to sleep. I would rather not have to go through the long, ugly process of changing dorms but its becoming unbearable. Any advice?</p>
