My SAT scores significantly decreased.

The first time I took the SAT, I got a 2000.
CR 670
M 570
W 760

The second time I took it, I got a 2240.
CR 800
M 650
W 790

I made the idiot mistake of taking it a third time, because my scores went down. A lot. I got a 2050.
CR 670
M 610
W 770

I also received a 740 on my Literature subject test, and a 730 on my United States History subject test.

I know a lot of colleges say they superscore, but what about those who require ALL your scores? (Like Yale and University of Pennsylvania) I’m really scared about this, because my new scores are really bad. I’m scared that I’ve messed up my chances of getting into good schools.

I have a strong resume
-473 community service hours
-Vice President of SGA,
-President of Music Club
-President of Yearbook
-Co-President and Founder of the school newspaper
-Secretary of Rho Kappa
-I also have a self-published novel. It’s decent, but was written around tenth grade, but I guess it can be counted as a significant achievement.

My unweighted GPA is a 3.89, my weighted is a 5.088 on a 6.0 scale, and I’m a dual-enrollment student who will graduate this year with an AA degree before my high school diploma. All of my courses have been either Honors, AP, or dual enrollment, with the exceptions of Chorus 1 and Chorus 2, and P.E, Spanish 1, and Spanish 2 (which I did online). The AP courses I have taken are World History, Psychology, United States History, and English Language and Composition. I took the AP Spanish Language and Culture Exam without taking the class and received a 5. I’m currently taking AP Calculus AB, AP Literature and Composition, and AP Maceoeconomics (AP Government in the second semester.
I am applying as an English major, but will probably double major in political science or criminology, because I am considering law school.

I know I have a lot of strength in my application, but my scores are really, really terrifying me. I need to know from someone who KNOWS how this works. Will admissions officers from schools who require all scores disregard my good scores from the 2240 once they see my drop?

Thank you so much.

I wonder if there is a problem with the scoring as my son’s dropped quite a bit.

My scores dropped significantly too, especially in math & writing. People are saying it’s the curve. October has the worst ones. :frowning:

My scores dropped significantly too :(( .Same worries. How the admission officers see the drop?

Mine went down too!!! This sucks…

For schools that super score, you have no worries.

You cannot control how the AOs at Yale and Penn will look at your scores, so send them in as per the policy.

You resume is outstanding.

What is the title of your book?
