So, yeah, I needed some advice…
I’m a rising junior and I’m taking the PSAT this year (obviously)–and I’m planning on taking the SAT in December–if I’m ready by then—

I took a practice PSAT yesterday, and here’s what I got:
CR: 71 (I missed three vocab questions, and one passage question)
Math: 74 (two wrong and they were both stupid mistakes)
Writing: 71 ( 1 improving sentences wrong and 5 identifying sentence errors wrong)–I guess the writing section had a giant curve on that test

–which comes down to a 216—
Btw, if it matters, I got a 197 sophomore year (68 CR, 64 M, 65 W)
I basically need something around a 216 (maybe a tad higher…217?) to qualify for NMF in my state

What’s the best way for me to improve my scores from here? I was thinking either Barrons 2400 or PR 11 tests with College Board Stuff (BB, online course, and the 3 more PSATs I have)

I’ve read a ton of tips on CC for a while, so here’s what I’ve done:
-I know the SAT math is harder than PSAT math, so I’ve worked through parts of the Grubers Math Section
-I did a page or two --it got really boring–of sentence completions from Barrons
-I’ve memorized around 400 vocab words from Sparknotes 1000 since I suck at vocab
-I did one practice PSAT

So, after this long and lengthy description of my SAT/PSAT test taking ability…I was wondering what other books I should use along with my collegeboard stuff–PR 11 tests or Barrons 2400? I’d rather use whatever would prepare me better for the PSAT first since that’s only in Oct. and SAT could be even after December–any suggestions are always helpful.

Thanks.
