My Scores are getting Worse..Not better. HELP

Last June I took the SAT and got an 1890. My goal is a 2150 or higher. However, since then, I have taken a few practice tests and my scores have always been lower than my actual SAT score. On one, I got a 1700, another I got a 1770, and today I got an 1880. Can anyone help? I have been using Dr. Chungs, Direct Hits, the Blue Book, and sparknotes. If anyone can tell me what I am doing wrong or can do right, please let me know.
(I am taking the SAT in March and June and next October or November)

I would suspect that you forgot some of the content like grammar rules and vocabulary? (after all, it was last June when you took it) Its hard to say b/c we don’t have access to your practice but maybe the tests are just harder than the real thing. Keep practicing.

It sounds like your scores are going up on practice tests, and that’s what is important.
Anecdotal evidence warning: I remember on the biology sat 2 practice tests, I got like 560, 600, 640, and then got an 800 on the real thing.

Keep on trekking. Remember to time yourself and go over the questions you missed right after the practice test if possible.

@julianstanley They are all over the place, no consistent score. I have only had one better than my actual and that was a 710 M, 640W, and 660CR. My goal is so much higher though.

I used the college board book. Just take practice tests. See which are your weakest sections and take practice sections on those.

Make sure you are actually reviewing every single question that you get wrong. Know exactly why you got it wrong, why the right answer is right, and how you can prevent yourself from making the same error again. Just doing practice tests is useless if you don’t review your errors.

You can get pwnthesat’s book for math and Erica Meltzer’s writing book.

@Jr12317‌ I got the writing book and the Dr Chung’s math book

I haven’t worked with Dr Chung’s math book. I got 800 on math thanks to the guy who made the pwnthesat’s math book. The writing book should help you to get on the 700’s. Practice makes you perfect on the SAT. @james161davis‌
