My personal statement is going to be about how my girlfriend, who recently immigrated from the best foreign language school in china, influenced me to be more mature, altruistic, and ambitious. My supplement essay is probably going to be about how I came from an extremely poor family in a rural city in China, and was suddenly thrusted into an affluent American family at the age of nine.

Also included in my supplement packet is my artwork porfolio with 15 oil paintings, my PCE Youth Leadership Bylaws and mission statements that I personally wrote, and the business card that I designed.

mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn, your ECs are all over the place

So I should make it more focused? I know I do a lot of random stuff, but I truly excel at art. Would it benefit me to apply with art as major?

Random ECs…yes.

but that sucks if you major something you don’t really want, all because you wanted to get into “harvard”

^Well said.

You don’t necessarily have to change your major, but try grouping things in your application.

What’s that newspaper thing in grade11 for? It’s as if it’s there for a space filler.

I think you have a pretty good shot. Nice scores, EC’s and awards.

Thanks, I will take out newspaper, I only wrote 3-4 articles a year.

An Asian From John P. Stevens High School! You Ain’t Got No Chance!!!

I live near John Stevens, and my best guy was an asian from there. He had awesome stats and he didn’t get in anywhere!

What year was he in? Would you list some of the stuff, cuz it might help me.
