<p>It took me back when my son made the remark that he believed that most people who blog on this Forum are moms. Well, I should have said in the Parents’ Forum, but I can’t make a correction to the title now.</p>
<p>Help me prove him wrong!</p>
<p>There are a few dads, but other than that, I’ve had the same impression.</p>
<p>I was telling my son that I had to make a correction to specifiy that he meant the Parents’ Forum, and he said, noooooooooo, he meant the entire forum. I tried to explain that there are many, many, students on here in addition to dads.</p>
<p>Lots of parents use unisex names. You have to read for awhile to figure out who’s male or female. There are more dads around than your son imagines.</p>
<p>Just because the dads are wise, caring, thoughtful and generous, he might be thinking they’re moms.</p>
<p>I think there are a lot of dads- it seems half and half.</p>

<p>I don’t agree that it’s mostly moms. On the individual college forums, the vast majority of posters are students. Ditto the “chances” forum. On the Parents Forum, yes…mostly parents, but I think there is a good representation of dads there too. </p>
<p>In the cafe, I think it’s a good representation of moms and dads too.</p>
<p>I’m a Dad, I think there’s a pretty representation of us.</p>

I’ve seen quite a number of dads hanging in the Parent Forum. My H would never do such a thing :rolleyes: He said that posting things on the Internet is stoooopid, but I caught him posting stuff on the NASA Mars lander forum!</p>

<p>Anyway, neither my husband nor my daughter would be caught dead on CC. I, on the other hand, love it here!</p>
<p>My thoughts as well as the OP’s sons’, but I love it here, and as opposed to my DW TV programming, I can turn it off it it gets too syrupy, lol!</p>
<p>I also have the impression that there are more moms than dads here. I am very impressed though with some of the thoughtful and caring posts of the men though…who’d have thunk :)</p>
<p>Sorry, OP - I agree with your S - though we love hearing from the dads as well, there just don’t seem to be as many of them on CC. Although the truth is, you can’t always tell because not everyone’s screenname makes it as obvious as mine does.</p>
<p>How about students? I agree that there seem to be more moms than dads, (or maybe an equal number, but the moms post more often) – but it also seems to me that there are more male students than female.</p>
<p>I wonder if it depends on whether your talking folks registered, people who ever post, or people who post a lot. Sometimes I think 90 percent of the posts come from 10 percent of the members.</p>
<p>Mom here. My kids and husband have never been on this site, lol, and I cannot seem to leave.</p>
<p>I can’t get my kids to log on to CC, but I agree that this is a fun website and I don’t let a week go by without logging on to read the latest posts.</p>
<p>Agree with the posters who say H and kids would never log on - that said, I’ve learned more in a few weeks here than months of internet searching elsewhere. I’ve been able to advise a friend who also has a '09 HS grad with great stats who wants a top school thanks to the info I’ve learned here.</p>
<p>The dads that do post are amazing, insightful, compassionate, honest, with very lucky kids.</p>
