My UChicago essays are completed whacked!! What was I thinking?

<p>When I turned in my UChicago app maybe a month ago, I thought my essays were witty and offbeat and very clever. But I just re-read them again after a month away from them and was I completely mad? I sounded like a madman wandering the streets outside Notre Dame cathedral…the admissions counselors are going to be shaking their heads (in a bad way) over my essays for years.</p>

<p>I’m embarrassed to even look at them now.</p>

<p>Doubt is at the core of all human development. Your essays actually might be great…or…well, :slight_smile: But I prefer to think optimistic…I’ll bet they are great! </p>

<p>Don’t second guess yourself. Easier said than done, but if you wrote in your true voice, it will all be fine.</p>
