im a junior currently and i wanted to explain my situation and see the input it gets

grades- have taken pretty good class (mostly honers and 1 ap this year) but havnt done that well, mostly b’s with a couple of c’s. keep in mind that although my school is public, it is regarded as one of the top public schools in ct.

sats- will be good hopefully about a 2000

extercurilulars - pretty good also, i have tennis and clubs

recomendations are also pretty good

what types of schools would like a student like me whose biggest flaw is mediocre grades in challenging classes?

No offense, but how is this situation unique? Also, we need your full GPA, and we need you to be able to spell “extracurriculars” and “recommendations”. Finally, you might be able to set a prediction for test scores, but God knows how accurate that’ll be. Everybody and their mother thinks they can break 2000 on the SAT. I’m not trying to be mean or come off harshly, but you haven’t given us much to work with.

We really need more info. That said, there are a lot of options if you can get a good SAT score, and a lot of schools will consider the difficulty of the courses you chose. Your unweighted GPA may suck, but it might not be so bad when it’s weighted. Try to do really well on the SAT.
