<p>Honestly, I’m not sure what a 5.2 WGPA is. At my hs, we got an extra point for honors/AP, meaning an A was worth 5, so there’s no way to get a 5.2, even if you got all A’s and took honors class exclusively. The EC’s seem a little thin compared to the kind of people going to those schools, but in to most.</p>

<p>I can’t agree with that assessment. Excellent academics - superlative. But, I have to agree with Horsegirl, where are the ECs? Eagle Scout - ok, one really good one, and the regional orchestra is decent. But, you can’t do those schools on academics alone - for his 2330 two dozen asians got 2400’s, and eleven of them won’t get in, even though they also play 4 instruments. </p>
<p>Notwithstanding the foregoing, in at Vandy, Duke, GTown and Yale; Probably no for Harvard and Princeton; interview well for MIT.</p>
<p>Wow, nice SATs, but how can you get a 5.2 GPA? At my school, the max, even if you get a 100 in every single course with all AP/honors, you can only get up to 5.0.</p>

<p>OK - but that’s mostly more academics, albeit very impressive. As to the performance, unless he was invited by Carnegie Hall to come as a soloist, I don’t think its all that impressive to Admits. I performed 2x at Steinway Hall while in Middle School, and had I stayed in Orchestra would have performed in Carnegie Hall last year, as well in Paris 2x. </p>
