<p>Yeah, I think you should add more to your ECs, but the patent is interesting. Columbia is going to be a reach, and perhaps Berkeley and Hopkins, but the others sound like matches, that is, if you can bring your SATs up and add more ECs.</p>

<p>You’ll definitely get into Georgia Tech, its not a hard school to get into, I think you have a very good chance for Vanderbilt, pretty good for Rice</p>

<p>the patent sounds interesting, and you’ve shown a huge amount of commitment (900 hrs? really? wow). i think you have a decent shot especially if you can bring up your sat scores. columbia is still a reach tho.</p>

<p>patents themselves really mean very little. anyone can file a patent. it had better be something worth writing an essay about for it to mean anything to admissions.</p>
