NAASE (At U Iowa)

<p>Hi! I’m Ben, a current sophomore in HS, and I’m wondering what kind of stats one really needs to get into NAASE.
As of now I have a 4.0 Unweighted (our school doesn’t weight, but if weighted I believe it would be around a 4.6/4.7 or maybe more).
I have basically taken all honors courses (our school is Pre-IB, so not really any APs offered) with the exception of AP Calculus. Next year I will be dual enrolled for mathematics, taking all IB courses, and three IB sciences.
I am VP of Model UN, Prez and founder of Spanish club, and secretary of Stu. Gov.
Also, I have some (over 50) volunteer hours, and I do Youth Symphony.
I haven’t taken ACT/SAT, but assuming I keep my GPA up, what do you think my shots are at NAASE?
P.S. – Has anyone here ever applied/been accepted to NAASE?</p>

<p>Hey! I’m thinking about doing NAASE. Since I kind of grew up at Belin Blank, it’s been an option for a while. My grades aren’t as impressive as yours, though. I haven’t taken the ACT/SAT, either, but I think you have to be in the 95th percentile. This might be tough for me because I don’t test well. </p>

<p>Have you been taking classes beyond your grade level or at a community college? What’s your schedule for next year? Are you planning on graduating early (not required for the program)?</p>

<p>I just PMed you :)</p>

<p>hey, i googled it and just wondering, do u have to attend Uiowa for ur whole undergrad career?</p>

<p>You don’t have to, but people usually do. If you want to, however, you are allowed to transfer out after the first year. You can PM me if you have more questions.</p>

<p>A shameless bump…</p>

<p>bumpity bump bump bump</p>

<p>Found new info on NAASE here: [naase</a> [EarlyEntrance.org]](<a href=“http://www.earlyentrance.org/naase]naase”>http://www.earlyentrance.org/naase)
Apparently, 20-25 students are admitted every year.</p>
