NACAC waivers and international students

Hey everyone

I'm really. really. not sure how you get a fee waiver. People keep saying that I should apply online and also to schools athat waive the fee at specific times. Sure, that's fine and I will, but problem is that most of the schools that do that do not offer any sort of aid to international students.

I googled a little bit and found out about NACAC fee waivers. And something else called ECO I think. For example, Stanford takes NACAC but Harvard takes ECO. At the same time, these colleges, along with everyone else in the top list, take fee waivers, but most don't really specify what kinds they want. Do I just mail them a letter from my counselor certifying that I'd need to shell out a kidney to pay?

But really, most importantly, NACAC good for internationals? I didn't find anything on the website saying that no, we may not use them.

Do you qualify for a fee waiver if you live abroad and you're an int'l??

Yes, the colleges I'm looking at take fee waivers from international students abroad, which is awesome. The collegeboard ones don't work, though, cause those are strictly US

NACAC like college board fee waivers are not available for international students

But then which ones do? A simple letter from the counselor?

your best bet would be to contact the schools that you are interested in and inquiring about fee waivers for international students.
