summer job (~20 hrs a week)
appointed to a few committees at school
head of political club
weekly hebrew class w/ head of hebrew at local university</p>

<p>so basically my gpa sucks, but I do go to a pretty difficult school and my test scores are pretty much in the range for most of the schools I’m looking at. I’m planning on applying ed to wesleyan (admitted about 40% ed for class of 2013), so hopefully that would help a little. also, I’m jewish and am looking to be actively involved, which could help at lehigh.</p>

<p>I think you have a decent chance… your gpa is a little low I would look at some options for safeties. You need some kind of hook; not a contrived one but like what are you interested in, what do you plan on majoring in? how do your extracurriculars show this?</p>

<p>also I forgot to add that Ive taken three aps so far. I’m waiting for results for euro and lit, and got a five on us history last year. next year I’m probably going to take four or five aps.</p>

<p>If you bump up your gpa a little more than Vassar and Brandeis shouldn’t be a problem.
You should consider Boston University, it’s a great school and with your stats I’m sure you would be admitted.
Wesleyan shouldn’t be a problem at all.</p>

<p>i dont think youre naively optimistic at all, you should have a great chance at all of those because colleges really respect the top prep schools, i know someone who went to exeter and got like a 2.9 gpa and went to hamilton so you should be fine for all of those</p>
