Name A Product You Don’t Get The Hype About

It’s simple. Name a product you don’t get the hype about - people seem to love it….and you don’t or certainly don’t appreciate the accolades

For me I think this every time I see it mentioned which is all the time and in every gift giving thread.

Bomba Socks.

Tried them once. Admit I’m fussy about my socks. But don’t get WHY people love them so and I fact choose to give socks - specifically these socks - so much!! What is so beloved about them??

Your turn.

Beer. It tastes sour and makes me fart.

I love my bombas socks. A neighbor and I were taking about them recently and our other neighbor didn’t get it.

They come in sizes. If you have small feet or large feet, they are the best. They actually fit! I don’t have the heel at my ankle. Smartwool also comes in sizes, those are good also.

Overhyped. (Because I feel like now I have to contribute )

Beach vacations. Not our thing.

Starbucks coffee. I find it bitter.

Agreed. The first time I had Starbucks coffee was when they started including an urn of it at my workplace cafeteria. I took a sip and told the cashier that I thought they had burned it. (She laughed and said no, that’s how it tastes.)

I think Starbucks coffee is best as mixed coffee drink - so one of their hot drinks mixed with other things - balances it out for me.

Roombas. If anyone in my family gave one of those to me, I’d be very angry. I have so many corners and things to pick up and move - that’s where all the cat hair and dust goes and what takes all the time to clean. The open big spaces are fine - easy peasy. And having to listen to it and remembering to keep it charged. Ugh

Weighted blankets.

Between a 12 pound blanket and a 50 pound dog any promised sense of calm was elusive and replaced by feeling hot and crushed.

Bog bags (I might use to take towels to the boat but otherwise I don’t like big open bags where junk can fall out).

Uggs. Too much care needs to go into keeping them clean and where we live with 4 seasons, the weather gets sloppy and they tend to stain fast (even with proper care).

In N Out burgers. They put too much ‘glop’ on the burgers unless you give them a special order.

I get that and appreciate that but doesn’t make the product itself better - to me (admittedly fussy about socks)

That’s funny - they are coming to TN next year as they plan an East Coast expansion (SE anyway) I have a friend from Florida already planning a trip.

I think it’s a great place but - definitely not worth a flight.

Krispy Cream donuts, and Chic Filet. Both very over rated.

EVs. They’ve gone from Betamax, to VHS, to DVD. I’ll wait for at least Blu-ray to transition from ICE vehicles.
