lol that one is good… i wonder which residential college = Gryffindor?

I wrote my voice - yes very not unique!

Placidia, I like both of your answers. I think “teeth” would have been a great answer. Can you imagine how tired adcoms must get of reading: “I’m especially proud of my ability to excel in both academics and my extracurricular activities.” ?

<<<can you=“” imagine=“” how=“” tired=“” adcoms=“” must=“” get=“” of=“” reading:=“” “i’m=”" especially=“” proud=“” my=“” ability=“” to=“” excel=“” in=“” both=“” academics=“” and=“” extracurricular=“” activities.“=”" ?=“”>>></can>

Are there actually people who’d write that?

I always wondered about these personal questions…like is it better to be playful or serious with the answer? And how important are they anyways?

i think you should just be you…if a playful answer immediately comes to mind that is characteristic of you, then i dont see why you shouldnt go for it…as for the importance of the questions themselves…i really dont know

hpl, does your reaction to my godric’s hollow response have anything to do with your username? and you can’t put that on the app anymore that question was from last year.

I think the adcoms would get tired of reading people trying to include their superior academics/ecs in EVERY single part of the app, even the part that doesn’t require such formality…My short answers were playful, and they were exactly what came to mind that were characteristic of me. Although my teeth response seemed a bit shallow (talking about physical attributes) so I opted for my weird ‘talent’ instead (efficient suitcase-packing!)

I wrote that I was proud of the research i did on my own.

I can’t answer it since it was last years question…but if I had to write something, I would write that I was proud that I taught my sister how to ride a bike…by myself…in a small garage…when I was 9 years old! I can never forget the day when she went round and round in that garage by herself…

Okay. It’s a really wierd thing to be proud of. Especially since I was only nine…but COME ONE! I taught her how to friggin ride a bike! It’s not an easy thing, riding a bike…Really! I’m not kidding…it took me a whole friggin year to fully master it…

Okay. I’m pathetic…but whatever. i still think it was awesome…

i’m saying i’m proud of my dedication to environmentalism…
is that too boring?

Wow, you guys are so creative.

I just said my research report. I am a nerd…

lol- i wrote about an anecdote from when i was five :)

I said the boat I’m building.

i said “having understanding parents”. its really hard to find one nowadays

Is it too cliche to say:
Having moved to a more competitive school, I’m proud of my adaptability toward change.

What’d people say for the mentally/physically renewing question?

I said eating, lol.

I said breaking limits (not the speed limit) - things like zip-lining, public speaking… the stuff that gives you a rush.

i said i was proud of my friendliness :D

Haha, okay I regret mine now. I said I was proud of having survived high school. Mistake much? And a nice warm shower mentally renews me!
