Name Your Favorite(s) Android App

Which tools do you find useful? Which games do you enjoy?

I like…

e-Weather HD
Kindle for Android
Quick Office HD
2x Battery Booster
Riptide HD
CBS Radio News

I like Chrome to Phone. I use Chrome web browser and when I create a map with directions on my laptop, I can sent that map to my smart phone and then open it there. Yes, I could enter the address in Google maps on the smart phone, but I like to look at maps on a bigger screen first.

I also like iheartradio so that I can turn my smart phone into a radio.

I downloaded the Mighty Text app after people were taking about it on the IPhone thread. Loving it. It sends your text messages to your computer.

I have a few favorites on my Galaxy S3, and really appreciate those that synch with
other applications I use on my desktop:

Business Calendar: great calendar app, amazing functionality, syncs with google calendar seamlessly
Ultimate to-Do list: synchs with Toodledo
Swiftkey: fabulous keyboard! intuitive picks up your personal style and word usages. really great
Easymoney: checkbook. bill reminder, budget
Evernote: synchs across all platforms and computers
Audible: I listen to audiobooks during commute

Some of the travel related sites have great apps as well, especially Trip Advisor and Kayak.

among games I really enjoy BubblePop and WordPlay

Angry Birds, of course lol…Spotify is decent, I run XM on it, and the navigator built in is pretty good.

I just downloaded Ziplist and synched it with my desktop. I’ll use the Recipe Clipper to keep recipes from different online sites-should be helpful when I’m grocery shopping.

the CC App, of course… :D

I don’t use a lot of apps but I do like the Navigation app on the Android. I use it all the time. It works way better than my “real” GPS. I like the Out of Milk app as well. You just scan the bar code of the groceries you buy and it creates shopping lists for you. I also use my PDANet app. It’s a hot spot that you can run your laptop from. It’s a $15 one time charge. It’s great for using when you don’t have internet access–like driving down the freeway on a long trip:D.

I use my ColorNotes a lot, especially if I am out and about and need to remember something. You can set an alarm on it too.

If you like Cribbage, I have Cribbage Pro. Great time waster or game to play while waiting for something.

I use my Nook app all the time. Syncs with my Nook which is handy.

I have Angry Birds and some other games that the kids will play. I rarely do.

I keep hearing good things about Swiftkey.

Do you think Easymoney is better than Mint?

I’ll take a look at BusinessCalendar.

Any other suggestions for word games in addition to Cribbage Pro?

Was just talking about good Android apps with my boss this morning. I recommended:

Uber[/url”>https://www.uber.com/]Uber for when you need a ride
WheresMyDroid[/url”>http://wheresmydroid.com/]WheresMyDroid to find your phone

^^ LakeWashington – I love Easy Money, it’s exactly what I need and no more. It has budgeting and bill reminder functionality as well as tracking accounts. It does not sync with my checking account or credits like Mint, but I wasn’t looking for that. I played around with Mint, but it was overkill for my purposes.

I forgot about my “flashlights”. I have the ScreenLight one that just turns on a white screen–great for when you need a little light. I also have DroidLight that turns on the flash (solid) for the camera and is REALLY bright–good for outside stuff. I’ll have to look into Easy Money. I’ve been looking for something that will just track when bills are coming due. I have something set up in Quicken but it really isn’t doing what I want it to do.
