<p>Is it good to just mention a few of the books you read regarding your interests?
e.g. for Cornell Supp – Intellectual Interests… I read ____ and ____ to further my interests</p>
<p>Or will they simply view it as namedropping</p>

<p>I would structure it more like: I am interested in _<em>, some of the books I recently read on the subject are _</em><em>, and _</em>. if you do it at all. </p>
<p>If the books are notable it shows initiative that you worked through them by yourself.</p>
<p>Will naming common/obvious books hurt?
eg Freakonomics for Econ (An extreme example)
Emotional Intelligence for Psychology/whatever</p>
