<p>I called USNA up the other day and they said that they mailed out the packets on May 5, so we should be getting them this week. I figured i’d start this thread for any questions regarding said package.</p>

<p>Son’s NAPS “authorization to enlist” arr’d today in SF Bay area. Did you receive yours yet? He’s relieved, since this is the Navy’s first word to him since he accepted the NAPS offer months ago.</p>

<p>yea got mine also…looks mucho exciting…i’m hearing the priors report earlier than us civilians…whats up with that</p>
<p>i don’t know about priors, but coasties spend a week of their own indoc at USCGA before reporting to NAPS. Also, does anyone have any word on when we actually get the permit to report stuff? or is the letter we got it?</p>

<p>No, no. I knew that. I was wondering what the USCGA NAPSters do during that week at USCGA.</p>
<p>I remember back in my day when we took a trip down to USNA from NAPS and spent a few days there as pseudo-plebes. I can’t remember many details, or even how many days, but I do remember it covered a Saturday night, and we had to be in Cracker-Jack uniforms. For some, it was the first time they had set foot in the place. For me, it was only the second time in an “official” capacity (the first time having been a year before when I spent one night as a candidate - we didn’t have NASS), and only the third time ever (first visit as a tourist on a miserable rainy day hardly counts). Quite the shock!</p>
<p>Hhhhmmmm, what would I have done without NASS, I sure wouldn’t be going to this incredible place in a month!</p>
