Narrowing Down Colleges

Hi!

I’m having trouble narrowing down colleges, and I’m wondering whether anyone knows how to narrow it down? What I did was search up all colleges that are well known for my major (computer science). I don’t know where to go from there seeing as location, campus, and everything else don’t matter at all to me; I just want a campus that will do my major some justice and I’m sure I can adapt to everything else. I don’t want setting or outside appearance to limit my college choices, but other than that, how would I limit my college choices?

My test scores are fairly high, but not exactly Ivy League high. I’m a 95% A student and a 5% B student. My AP scores are around 3s and 4s, and it’s a lot lower than a lot of people out there but it’s still considered high in my school. My question is, how do I know which schools I should and shouldn’t apply to? And how do I know which ones will provide financial aid/scholarships?

Thanks for your time!

What is your ACT/SAT

ACT is 31, SAT is 2030

Start searching on financial aid and merit factors. Several of the college search engines let you do that. Then use the net price calculators to get a better idea of your chances. Also, if there are some schools you know you like, look it up on ■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■ and see what others are considered similar. After you start going through the websites, you’ll find yourself developing preferences one way or the other.
